PCM Workshop in Autumn Break

The PCM (Project Cycle Management) Workshop was held during autumn break from November 21 to 23, 2012. The workshop was conducted by two professional instructors from IC Net Ltd. Twelve of JDS 1st-year fellows took the workshop. They received intensive teamwork training during the workshop and gained fruitful understanding of PCM. PCM is a participatory project management tool widely used in cooperation projects. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a systematic perspective of project management and to improve the capability of logical thinking. The workshop helped participants to develop their project management skills by learning and practicing methods of problem analysis, objective analysis, project selection and project design. The distinguishing characteristics of the workshop are tight interaction with team members and focus on real situations. Most of the JDS fellows have experience being involved in project management activities in their formal work. The workshop is expected to equip and help them in their future work.
